Youth Activities

We offer a vibrant mix of learning and service opportunities for youth.  Our Youth Director, Beth Heggen and the pastors help lead the youth programs at Good Shepherd.  Activities are held for children in kindergarten through grade 3, grades 4-7 and grades 8-12.

Confirmation Classes

Youth in grades 7 & 8 attend weekly Confirmation Classes on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-7:45pm during the school year.

Boy Scouts Troop 41

Good Shepherd sponsors the Wells Boy Scout Troop.

ELCA Youth Gathering

Good Shepherd has a long tradition of taking High School aged youth to the ELCA Youth Gathering, which is held across the country every three years.  In June, 2018 a group of ten traveled from Good Shepherd to Houston, Texas.  Unfortunately, the 2021 Youth Gathering in Minneapolis was cancelled due to COVID.  Fundraising has begun to send the youth to the 2024 Youth Gathering in New Orleans.
