Each year for the past three years Good Shepherd has been awarded as one of the top 100 congregations in the ELCA for support of ELCA Global Missions.  For more than a dozen years we have supported missionary Karen Anderson (a native of Owatonna) in her mission work in Chile.  In 2017 we also started to support the mission work of Curtis and Katie Cline in Bogota, Colombia.  We also support our ‘partner congregation’ in the central diocese of Tanzania and in the past, several people from Good Shepherd have visited Tanzania.

Our support is best described as accompaniment with those across the globe…there is much we can learn from Christians near and far.  We enjoy hosting Global Mission events and speakers throughout the year, learning from and walking with people near and far.
