We hope this e-mail finds you well.
It has been a while (over a year!) and we wanted to update you about the Malawi Bicycle Ambulance Project. As we’ve been meaning to do for weeks and months, we wanted to send an update on our progress, thanks to the generosity of our family and friends.
As of November 2015, we’ve raised a staggering $13,000, all of which has gone directly towards funding the project. As a reminder, we set out to provide 10 additional villages in northern Malawi with bicycle ambulances, and the resources required to keep these bikes running smoothly. To remain sustainable, we provided all these villages with a system to raise and sell piglets.
Currently, the Bicycle Ambulance Project has been implemented in 7 villages! The remaining 3 are on track to be completed by December 2015.
This past summer, Matt had the opportunity to travel to Africa and check in on the Project. He visited all ten villages and saw how resourceful and passionate the Malawians were, and was encouraged to see that everything was going as planned.
Below, please find the link to our website and enjoy some photos from this past year of the bicycle ambulance project.
Thank you again!
